The McKenzie County Public School District #1 recently created an “Angel Fund” to house generous donations from various local business and individuals. Donations are intended to provide assistance to students in need and initial generous donations have already been applied to various projects and initiatives to help students. The projects that have been supported to date include free breakfast on Mondays for all students as well as providing coats, boots, eyeglasses repair. Any donations to the Angel Fund can be applied to a specific purpose, as indicated by the donor, or to the fund to be used to help students of need as deemed necessary. 

There are two ways to donate to the Angel Fund:
1. If you’re interested in donation to the “Angel Fund” you can send a your funds to the district office. If sending a check, please write it to MCPSD1 and indicate the purpose on the memo line. 
2. If you need tax documentation, please write the check to our 501(c)(3), MCSFN. The fund is in conjunction with the North Dakota Community foundation. Send the check to the district office, and indicate the purpose on the memo line. They will forward the donation to the foundation for tax recognition.
