WCVA and Virtual Learning
The district offers two modes of virtual learning.
- Watford City Virtual Academies - offer comprehensive virtual education for all of McKenzie County Public School District #1 students including new students, returning students, and homeschooled students. The academies are segregated into grade levels:

- Virtual Learning Day due to Weather or Other Circumstances - accomodates education and learning for regularly scheduled in-school days when students cannot be transported safely to their school building. Information regarding this mode of virtual learning is described elsewhere (click here).
